L'Aleixar was part of the Prades County since its inception in 1324, went through several lordships until King John I in 1391 sold the villa to the archbishop of Tarragona.
This time there is a well-documented relationships with Jewish quarter Prades, saddlebags, Falset, Valls and others in the western Catalan. The call was probably located on Furnace Street where there was even a synagogue.
Documented in 1342 the castle there remains no trace, the town was walled and there are visible remains of the street past the Oven. Today, visitors can admire the plaza with high porches, the house of the village, the church and its bell tower and the bridge of the Abbey Street and numerous buildings of the eighteenth century.
