Circular walk that will take us to Colldejou butte, which stands guard over the village at its feet. This emblematic summit is one of the landmark silhouettes dominating El Camp de Tarragona. From the top of the butte, you will see an extensive area of lush grazed meadows and the remains of a defence tower, La Mola castle, built at the time of the Carlist Wars (19th C.).
To get there, leave Colldejou on the old track towards Argentera, marked as a local footpath (PR). You cross several ravines until you leave the PR at a sharp bend, taking the old wine merchants’ path to the left, heading upwards, taking you to Roig pass. There, follow the long-distance path (GR) that will lead you to the top of the butte, beginning the climb through a cool holm oak wood. Once at the top, cross the butte, pass the castle and, if it is a clear day, you will be able to see a long way. Go down via the Processons gap to El Guix pass, where you take the cart track back to Colldejou.
